  1. How can I contact a HoneyBaked Ham Customer Service Agent?
    You can call us at 1-800-343-HAMS. We can also be reached by e-mail at info@honeybakedeast.com. A customer service representative will respond to you as promptly as possible.

  2. How long can I keep my ham or turkey breast in the refrigerator?
    Your ham or turkey breast are good in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. They can also be frozen for up to six weeks.

  3. Do I have to do anything special to freeze my HoneyBaked Ham or Turkey Breast?
    No, simply remove the ham or turkey from the box and freeze the ham or turkey in the bag it arrived in. If you have opened it, just wrap it tightly in foil, put into a plastic freezer bag, squeeze out the excess air, and close with a twist tie.

  4. Does the ham arrive frozen?
    All of our hams and turkeys are shipped frozen to arrive thawed or partially thawed. We guarantee that it will be cool to the touch when you receive it.

  5. How long does it take to thaw a HoneyBaked Ham?
    24 to 36 hours in the refrigerator from a completely frozen state.

  6. How long does it take to thaw a HoneyBaked Turkey Breast?
    12 to 24 hours in the refrigerator from a completely frozen state.

  7. How do I store and serve my HoneyBaked Ham?
    If you plan to serve the HoneyBaked Ham within the next few days, simply allow it to completely thaw (it will arrive partially to fully thawed) in the refrigerator. The HoneyBaked Ham is best served right out of the refrigerator. If you do wish to heat the ham we recommend removing just the slices you wish to serve from the bone and wrapping them in aluminum foil. Heat them in a conventional oven approximately 10 minutes per lb. in a low oven (270 degrees). If you heat the entire ham rather than slices you may dry out the ham.

  8. How do I store and serve my HoneyBaked Turkey Breast?
    Just like the HoneyBaked Ham, the turkey breast is shipped frozen and will arrive partially to fully thawed. You'll need to let the Turkey Breast thaw completely in the refrigerator. This will take between 12 and 24 hours. The HoneyBaked Turkey Breast is best served right out of the refrigerator. Be sure and return the uneaten portion to the refrigerator within 1/2 hour of serving. It will stay fresh there for approximately 5 days.

  9. Can my ham be shipped C.O.D.?
    No. Our hams are perishable, and the UPS driver may have to hold the package in order to accept payment. This could obviously jeopardize the quality of the product, so we only ship pre-paid orders.

  10. How much is shipping?
    Shipping and handling for hams, turkeys, combo packages, and gift baskets is $19.95 per package, per address.  Charge is $15.95 for desserts and Tower of Sweets. If a rush delivery is needed (overnight for the next day) there will be an overnight fee incurred.

  11. What's the difference between the hams you ship and the ones at the retail store?
    Just like our retail store, all of our shipping hams are fully-cooked, spiral-sliced, and glazed. Our shipped hams are quickly frozen to preserve quality. The glaze may dissipate ("melt" into the ham) while thawing, reducing the amount of visible glaze.  This dissipation will only add to the natural sweetness of the ham.

  12. How do you keep the ham from spoiling during shipping?
    We take enormous care in shipping each and every order to ensure the quality of the product. We ship your HoneyBaked Ham frozen; to arrive partially or fully thawed. Each ham is wrapped in foil, sealed in a poly bag, and then blast frozen. We then pack it in a gift box, surrounded by insulating material to be sure that it arrives in perfect condition. In warmer months, ice packs may be used as well.

  13. Will UPS deliver to a Post Office Box?
    No, unfortunately UPS cannot deliver to a P.O. Box.

  14. Does your ham contain gluten?
    No, our ham and glaze do not contain gluten.

  15. What is the difference between the butt and the shank?
    The butt is the rounded end of the ham. The shank is the longer, pointed part of the ham. The only difference is the shape. Equal amounts of servable meat can be served off of both ends. We cannot specify which end will be shipped.

  16. How far in advance can I order?
    We recommend ordering as early as possible to take advantage of the best availability. Also, you can avoid overnight shipping charges.

  17. Do you ship to other countries?
    We do not ship to other countries. Because the customs process could cause delays that could result in product spoilage we only ship within the fifty United States.

  18. What will UPS do if I'm not home when they deliver my package?
    They will leave it at the door without a signature. The only exceptions are if you live in an apartment or in an area that UPS has decided not to routinely leave packages unattended.

  19. What happens if I provide an incorrect or incomplete address or the recipient is out of town?
    It will be the purchaser's responsibility to cover the costs for replacement and re-delivery of a product in the event that we are provided with an incomplete address or incorrect delivery date, or if the recipient is out of town.

  20. Can I have my ham delivered at a specific time?
    Sorry, but UPS operates on their own schedule and it's one we can't adjust. Overnight deliveries are generally made by the early afternoon.

  21. Can I have my ham delivered on a specific day?
    In some cases, we can. However, this may involve an overnight fee.

  22. Do you offer same day delivery?
    We do not, but if you give one of our retail stores a call, we do cater, or you will be able to pick up most of our products at these locations. Just click on the link to our Store Locations page, and locate The HoneyBaked Ham store near you.

  23. Can you put another address on the label, so if I'm not home, UPS can deliver it to another address?
    There is only room for one address. If you're not home, the driver will simply leave the package at the door. (Also see #18).

  24. Do you ship to military bases?
    Yes, as long as we?re given a street address. We cannot ship to barracks, FPO, or APO addresses.

  25. Do you ship to college dorms, hospitals, or prisons?
    We can ship to the above locations (with a valid street address). However, we ship to these locations at your risk. Refunds cannot be issued for packages that are refused or delayed at a college, hospital, or prison. It will be the purchaser's responsibility to cover the costs for reshipment of a product in the event that the product needs to be reshipped to the above mentioned locations.

  26. Do the retail stores ship hams?
    Because of our rigorous shipping standards, retail stores can't ship our products. All hams are shipped from our mail-order division. We consolidate all shipping to one location.

  27. What are your retail store hours?
    Our stores in New England, New Mexico, New York, and New Jersey are open Monday thru Thursday from 10am -5:30pm, Friday from 10am-6:00pm and on Saturdays, we are open from 9:30am-5:00pm. We are closed Sundays. Hours in other states will vary. Holiday hours may vary; feel free to call your local retail store for seasonal hours.

    HoneyBaked has a fundraising program. Call your local retail store and ask the manager for details.
